I'm in the senior citizen category and bought this phone for its large screen size. I've been using it 4 months and I love it! It's user-friendly, intuitive, easy to use right out of the box. It found and linked to my wi-fi when I put in the password. I've used it on vacation in another city and, among the 14 of us with phones, mine was the best and fastest at pulling up phone/email contacts, calling, or going online to find nearby shops and attractions, or getting directions using Google Maps. I've recently been trying to help a friend use her new iPhone and find the iPhone difficult to navigate and way too small to really function as a browser. I'm so glad I bought the Streak.

I bought one for my dad after I had tried a couple tablets including the iPad in different stores.
The Archos was the only one in this price range that offered good CPU, decent GPU and nice screen with acceptable quality. 

You can read here and there some criticism about the finishing of this device, such as cheap plastic etc. However I find it much stiffer than most competitors. It actually feels solid compared to the Samsung ones for instance. It's much lighter than the iPad 2, costs less.

Got my archos 7 about 3 months now and I'm happy. Its not a laptop laptop replacement or a phone but it fills the void in between. Battery life is awsome, screen is high def and bright. Audio is great.
Only grips, no youtube support because no flash 10. The keyboard is not the most responsive.
All and all good buy nice potable and versitile.

I have been looking for an android tablet for my girlfriend who is in nursing school and could use it at the hospitals she does clinicals at and we found a winner. I had some worries since most of the reviews talked about the older 1.5 android installed which doesn't run too many apps. But this one shipped with 2.1 android and it's amazing.

I received my Archos 5 Internet Tablet in the middle of January. Up to now i have been tweaking and downloading programs from the market in order to make it fit to my needs. All this time i have been modifiing my tablet i realized that it has great capabilities and some i have not discovered yet.

But as any device there are cons and pros.

Pros:
- Great touch experience. Nevertheless there is no capacitive screen.
- Android is great as operating system in comparrisment to my symbian nokia phone.
- Video and audio playback is very good.
- Internet browsing turn out to be beyound my expectations.
- FM transmiter is good, but it would be better if i could use it without cables acting as an antena.

Cons:
- GPS lock is a little bit slow for my expectations. But i guess that it would be better with A-GPS.
- It is annoying that i can not watch the AC3 and HD videos without buying the additional plugin.
- I also find disapointing that i can not transfer my video signal to my tv without buying the additional add-ons.
- Also I can not use my archos tablet as usb HDD for my home theater, because of the ext3 storage format.

In overaw the tablet is worth its money.

It is really an IPAD alternative, it is not yet exactly the same but very very close to it
Battery life is good, but we are use to longer duration battery... regarding the rest of the characteristics great!
Price relation vs what you get is great.

I have long been waiting for a portable computer that will let me do what I want.
To me the iPad and iPhone are are Glorified Jukeboxes, nice to play with but not very useful to me. 

Since none of the overloaded devices cater to hearing aid users, who depend on hearing aids and compatibility. 

I wanted something more practical that I could use while travelling.
Enters the ZOOM, of course I had my eye on Android for some time, but could not make up my mind. 

Now that I finally got an XOOM, I can say, I am happy.
I have been busy all day getting apps and set it up, it works, Wi-Fi and mobile wireless works as a promised. 

I think it is an good buy for people like me (age 78) who don't want to waste time and money on a mobile jukebox.

I got Dell Streak 7 Tablet from T-Mobile
I think for now you not be able to get better deal for the money
It not perfect but compare to Samsung tab you got 4G ;better processor and support of Android 3 Honeycomb in future VS better screen and battery
> battery is OK for me ; who have time to play more than 3-4 hours a day ? and for working tasks and prefer laptop
>screen OK too; anyway most of the games and applications by now designed for phones with same resolution so you may not even tell difference
Play HD 1080 video may good as a test but not functional ( extra time to download ; then extra space and battery for what ??)
I will say Dell Streak 7 is too young ( required Honeycomb to work better ) VS Samsung tab already too old ( NO 4g and No dual-core and No Honeycomb )
So I will keep it for few month then plan to update Black Friday (Motorola Xoom should be mach cheaper then

We recently started using our Dell Streak 7 and we really enjoy it. It is versatile and the screen looks great. We are little worried about dropping it on a hard surface, especially when the kids are playing with it. The games are fun and the sounds coming out of the speakers are terrific. We purchased it through Tmobile for under $200 and what a deal; in addition, we love the 4G speed. For increased speed, we connect to our home wireless internet. Everything is working better than the reviews I read. Tmobile TV is cool but some of the program graphics aren't so good. Overall, we would definitely purchase another.

I wanted a tablet I can fit in my purse and be able to read or connect to the internet on the go. I have an EVO as well, but I really appreciate the larger screen. I also have an iPad, but I can never get on it at home due to my kids playing on it and it's too big to carry around with me. So - I will just keep it mainly as a device for gaming and watching Netflix on vacations.

The Galaxy Tab does everything I bought the iPad for - but it's more portable and I have it all to myself :)

I am also downsizing my ereaders - as the Tab holds nook, Kindle and Google books all in one device. I can't rave about it enough - it's perfect!

Though I was hesitant to enter the tablet market on a first-gen device, I gave in for Christmas and decided to take the plunge. I have used an Android-based phone for over a year now and am very familiar with the Android OS. Thus, I was hard-pressed to switch to iOS just so I could have an iPad. Enter the Galaxy Tab - it uses my favorite mobile OS with all the up-and-coming apps that are constantly being developed; it is small enough that I can hold it in one hand; it does everything I want it to and more.
