I bought this thinking I would play with it for a week and have totally been smitten enough to ditch my HD2 running Froyo. I had heard really negative things about the screen, but really it's fine. Even live wallpapers work well. The form is amazing and the lagniappe battery you get is super cool. My only small qualm is the alternate characters on the keys are a bit hard to read, almost impossible in the dark, though the keyboard is (somewhat) backlit. I'm in love. Er...at least until the first cool Windows Phone 7 comes out...

Coming from a Pixi on Sprint, so this is an upgrade for me. Personally, I love this phone. Add Advanced Task Killer to get rid of things running in the background and save battery. Add Home Switcher and Launcher Pro to get all kinds of great things, including getting rid of that D Sprint ID button and landscape on home page, etc. Sprint ID is pretty lame, but I can see some reasons for it, such as having work ID and personal ID.

I have to have slider keyboard and I actually have small hands. Works great for me. Can't type on a screen- too many mistakes.

According to Sprint, they will be updating to 2.2 Android before end of year. Hopefully that'll add more punch to the phone.

This is my third Android phone. I was frustrated by a touch screen keyboard. So, I skipped myTouch 4G. I did not like the G2's loose keyboard (if you hold G2 upside down, the keyboard pops out). And Cliq 2's price was very good. So, I chose this one.

Because of not so good reviews here, I was skeptic about this one. But, about a month of use, I found this is a great phone. It is a stable and the keyboard is very easy to type. A dedicated camera button and a zoom key is very handy. Picture quality is acceptable for a daily use.

Only minus point is a bit bulkier than I like (Still lighter than G2 though).

MOTOBLUR give me a good customization (Need to tweak a bit to get its full potential). I was bored with HTC's or plain Android home screen. MOTOBLUR gives me a flesh experience of using Android.

This looks to be the perfect size phone to me. I'm an android user on t-mobile and I definitely like the 2.2 froyo release on MyTouch.


Moto: Please continue your innovation of android phones and claim the niche of smaller phones.


I'm eligible for an upgrade but all the monster sized phones are ridiculous. I almost bought the moto defy on t-mobile but it was still a little to large and if possible I wanted froyo or greater.


Thanks for the very informative review. I would almost consider att but I hear they restrict you to their app store versus the android market.

Very nice phone. Huge touch screen.(Sensitive and really bright) No proprietary non-sense. Micro Sd.(Standard Expandable memory) Micro Usb 'B'(Charging and data transfer) Standard headphone jack. Great U.I. Amazing camera (Still and Motion) Excellent for texting and pic/vid messaging. Wifi is on point so you can get a small (cheap) data plan. Music player is just as good if not better than "ipod" (again the U.I. is really cool and easy) Android 1.6 as of time of this review (09/27/10) "2.1 to come in (10/??/10) If you don't know what that means it doesn't matter. (tech geek for update to increase power and processing speed) Got it from amazonwireless only payed one cent with plan. Always happy with amazon. xperia x10 "highly recommended"

This is a great little phone, with many android capabilities. I've decided on it, to give a try to the android phone interface, compared to my long experience with windows mobile smart phones. It is generally a nice cellphone, with v. good price for a smart phone. Just be prepared to do some deciphering to change the default menu from an Eastern European language to English. Once done, most of things go fairly well after that.
I'd list here my overall impressions after using it for about a week: 

1- Well built & light handset, with small screen, decent resolution (don't expect AMOLED sharp, but it is good) 

2- Responsive capacitive, single point touch screen (so no pinching or any other two-touch gestures).

I've got no complaints about the "smart" part of this smartphone - very fast, nice screen, really good keyboard, froyo is a nice system. It's a decent size - still pretty much fits in a pocket. Battery life hasn't been a problem, although I'm not doing any streaming or a lot of browsing on it. I did turn off the auto-lock, which was annoying, and that hasn't hurt battery life much, if at all. The camera is pretty good, and the flash works well (and makes for a great flashlight, with the right app).

I bought this phone after having a number of Blackberry's. I love the Blackberry but wanted to expand my horizons. After much study, I chose this phone because Android is the hottest right now, and Iphone has become passe.

The design and housing of the phone is meticulous, with a screen that is among the largest; nearly 4 inches, and larger than Iphone and most comparable phones. It is a tough screen, easy to clean after many touches, and appears to be scratch-resistant. While T-Mobile 4G service isn't always available (about 70% of the time),it still quickly loads the internet, downloads and T-Mobile services. This phone is rated very well, and even chosen as the best Android phone available today by many reviewers including C-Net.

And thats the only thing the iphone beats it in. I had the iphone 4, but this is miles ahead of it. Faster and you can do such more. go to youtube, look up the same videos, the quality blows it out the water. we looked at both with jay z empire state of mind through wifi connec. On the atrix the video was bigger and in hi-def.Theres an app where you can download any song into your music library.

I have been drooling over the G1 for quite sometime. I think its internet, menu system, and qwerty keyboard make it a worthwhile investment. It's definitely for any cell phone crowd that's heavy into texting and emailing.  I held off on buying a G1 because of the physical design. I found the bottom chin of the phone to be a massive turn off. Plus, everyone that I knew who had the G1 kept telling me how horrid the battery life was. From that comment, I figured out why they were always carrying their charger with them.

This was a great phone when I got it but Samsung has been promising an update to the newest Android software with flash support and new features for about 6 months and hasn't delivered. Their competitors HTC and Motorola updated the competing phones in Summer 2010 but Samsung is still making excuses in Early 2011. Samsung claims this is their answer to the iPhone, but again the iPhone gets software updates to help older iPhones match some of the features of newer iPhones, but Samsung has no answer to that.

This is the best phone I have had. I like all of the gadgets and it's really easy to work with. The touch screen works very well but I would advise using a stylus pen to move around. It is sensitive to touches but using a stylus pen is definitely the way to use it. It will prevent one from over touching.

okay I am completely in love with this phone. I just came from a Blackberry Torch and I must say this phone is 10000% better. i couldn't believe how light this was. my BB torch felt like i was carrying a brick. the samsung galaxy s 4g feels like a plastic toy but lemme tell you, this flimsy piece of plastic is a powerhouse!!!

Love this phone. It has everything I want and nothing more. I mean seriously who even uses a front facing camera??? I sure don't. Second, as easy as touch screen typing is, sometime i want to be able to see the full screen of the device when i'm typing and this is what the keyboard is great for. I also really like the touch pad which basically replaces the arrows keys and is really nice for navigating around the web.

Other than that this thing is faaaast and I would imagine that it does get better battery life than the Evo, but I've never owned an Evo. The benchmark tests show that the 800MHz processor is actually faster than the 1Ghz in the original since it is the second generation of the processor. Seriously have enjoyed this phone so far. You should also note that HTC phones upgrade to the newest Android versions far earlier than all other Android manufacturers.

I am a gadget guy. I need the latest and greatest. With that said, this is by far the best device i have ever owned. Period. Even to this day, about a year after i purchased it ... if i were to buy a new phone right now, i would still walk out with this phone.

For those like me that need change and updating, look into rooting the phone. Once rooted, there is no limit to what you can do. I flash a new look&feel onto my phone at least 2 or 3 times a week. I get bored and this phone is perfect.

tons of developer activity also, which is very important for any device to be successful.

I received the Samsung Galaxy Tab as an early Christmas present. This device is hands down brilliant! I absolutely love it. It has a great, big, bright screen. Surfing the web, reading books, watch HD videos, it excels at all of these tasks and more. The battery hold a good charge and lasts for hours. The software is very stable and quite responsive. The tablet also works perfectly with my Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard.
There are a few things about the tablet that are kind of annoying:

1. AT&T as always has put a bunch of bloatware applications on the tablet that I haven't been able to remove. I have not rooted the device yet, and I'm sure once I do I will be able to remove the applications, but the point is I shouldn't have to root it to get the crap off it. Update, I was able to Easily root this device with Z4root (from the market), and I was able to rid out all the AT&T apps that I didn't want.
