I only gave it five stars because ... there are not more!
I've never touched the display on my Samsung Captivate. As soon as the saleslady finished setting up the phone, she opened the Invisible Shield box, cleaned the display, and applied the Invisible Shield. She made it look easy. I'd seen it done before. I TRIED to put one of the old static type shields on a Blackberry. My hands were made for working on locomotives, not wristwatches. It was worth the money to have it installed if nothing else for the entertainment value. It's hard to tell it's there but it's a huge comfort to know it is. I cannot tell that it affects the sensitivity of the touchscreen display. All the gestures I use work flawlessly - as if it was not there. 

The Invisible Shield by Zagg should ship on every smart phone. There's a logo on one edge of the box that reads "Military Grade". I don't know how much abuse it will tolerate, but I do know it's the best shield I've seen for a cellphone display - ever. My son has one on an iPhone. He said he had a car key "impression" on the Invisible Shield after carrying his iPhone in his pocket with his keys. The next day it was gone. And no scratches or tears! 

Fingerprints and smudges don't really accumuate as you might expect, but I have cleaned it with a short spray of lens cleaner and wiped it with a lens cleaning microfiber cloth.
In case it's not clear, I highly recommend the Invisible Shield for any mobile phone - as the very first accessory.

I won't give 5 stars until a screen protector is truly invisible. But this one was easy to put on. I don't understand how a couple of reviewers had problems with putting this on. Start in one corner from the top and make sure it is aligned with the plastic thing in the center and it pretty much falls into place. It does offer protection for the screen. My big complaint was the paper tag they are put on the screen. I tried to peeled it off but it left a thin layer of paper and glue on the screen. Had to use Goo Gone to take it off. It was still difficult to take the adhesive off.
