It's Birds vs. Pigs!
The pigs are hungry...and eggs are on the menu, threatening the survival of a nearby flock of friendly, colorful birds. But when the green swine raid the flock's nest, the unexpected happens: a rage is kindled within the birds that only revenge can quench!
Your job is to help the Angry Birds seek vengeance against the pigs with the help of a finger-powered slingshot, a good dose strategy, and a bit of luck.
The goal of the game is to catapult each bird toward the pigs, who hide behind a variety of destructible materials. Use each bird's unique skills to break through crates, boards, stone, ice, snow, glass, boulders, and dynamite--and vanquish the devious pigs.
It's the world's most popular physics-based casual game for many reasons: quirky feathered friends with special and strange abilities, 240 levels of challenging pig fortifications to defeat, and lots of hidden rewards for you to discover.

As you progress through the game, you'll learn each bird's strengths, the characteristics of the materials protecting the pigs, and how to trigger chain reactions that destroy the pigs and generate high scores. Snuff out the pigs with the fewest number of birds and the most damage possible to achieve three gold stars for each level.
Alter the game's look and feel by zooming in and out of each scene to get a better sense of where to launch your next bird. If you find the background is too distracting, you may turn it off to focus solely on the pigs and their soon-to-be crumbled fortifications.
Angry Birds features six distinct master levels of physics-based puzzle solving. There's the Mighty Hoax, Danger Above, The Big Setup, Ham 'Em High, and Golden Eggs, a fun reward level.

The Angry Birds possess courage, dedication, and an enormous slingshot. What they need is a way to launch themselves toward those thieving pigs, and that's where you come in. Slide your finger across your touchscreen to pull the slingshot back and adjust the trajectory of each bird for maximum effect. Then, lift your finger from the screen to fling your avian friends toward their greedy green foes. Once the bird is in mid-flight, simply tap your screen at just the right moment to unleash its special ability.

The opening bass note and slower pace of the normally up-tempo Angry Birds theme music sets a fun, and mildly ominous, tone in the first stage of the Poached Eggs master level. It's an introduction to an award-winning sound design that adds a surprising sense of depth and movement to the game.
An audible backdrop of bird songs, taunting pig grunts, and anxious calls to action from our slingshot-loaded friends plays out against multiple layers of shifting background scenery.

From Game to Phenomenon
Mention Angry Birds and, chances are, people will know what you're talking about. The colorful birds and their furious purpose have catapulted themselves into an outright phenomenon.
The road to Angry Birds began in 2003, when three Finnish students entered a mobile-game development competition. Their game, King of the Cabbage World, was the first real-time, multiplayer game for mobile phones. The trio soon formed what would become Rovio.
Angry Birds was released in December 2009, after the iPhone and just as the Android universe started to explode--a climate ripe for innovation. The game achieved unprecedented success: to date, the game and its sequels have generated more than 50 million downloads.
